Marx Brothers Place: The Doggy Movie is Launched to YouTube!

The 93rd Street Beautification Association proudly announces that its latest preservation movie short The Dignified Denizens of Marx Brothers Place (or...The Doggy Movie) - written by author and Association co-chair Susan Kathryn Hefti - has now been launched to YouTube!
We invite everybody to stop what you're doing for the next 9 minutes (as long as that won't jeopardize your job, of course!) and click on this link to watch The Doggy Movie! We really think you'll enjoy it!
Thanks again to all the intrepid folks who so bravely defied Dorothy-like tornado winds to come out for the special advance screening of The Doggy Movie on September 16th at the New York Public Library: We were thrilled to see everybody & so delighted that you all enjoyed The Doggy Movie
Special thanks go out to our masterful video editor Noah Diamond who so generously gave of his time & talent to this special preservation project! 
Thanks also to our very talented audio recording editor Cathy Amerling; the hilarious voice talents of Hollywood's Kurt Fuller & Judith Hendra and most importantly our neighborhood stars - Jackie the Boston Terrier and Victor the Black Russian Terrier - whose appearances make The Doggy Movie a little gem!

Sneak Peek World Premiere of the Latest Marx Brothers Place Movie Short

The Dog Days of Summer may now be in the rear view mirror, but here on historic Marx Brothers Place in Carnegie Hill, the real Dog Days have just begun!

Please join us on Thursday, September 16 for the Sneak Peek World Premiere of the latest Marx Brothers Place preservation campaign movie short - The Dignified Denizens of Marx Brothers Place - in the Meeting Room at the New York Public Library, 112 East 96th Street from 6PM-7PM (movie begins at 6:15PM).

Starring Jackie Browning (Leslee & Fabio's Boston Terrier) as Jackie the sexpot and Victor Lazar (Pei & Paul's Russian Wolfhound) as Victor, the hilarious little movie is sure to brighten your day & put a smile on your face!

The 10 minute film - a.k.a. The Doggy Movie - got a big assist from Hollywood when Film & TV star Kurt Fuller (The Sherriff in the original Scary Movie; the TV director in Wayne's World; Woody the Coroner on Psych; Joel on ABC's new fall comedy Better With You and Mr. Woodcock in Woody Allen's new movie Midnight in Paris) donated his time & talent giving human voice to Victor while the delicious Brit Judith Hendra lets us all hear just what goes on in the mischievous mind of little Jackie!

This very special event will also include the World Premiere of Brothers a 10 minute film short by Noah Diamond who is currently working on a book about the Marx Brothers and American Comedy. Diamond also donated his services - as Video Editor - on The Dignified Denizens of Marx Brothers Place!
